Update: I was confused. Texas Governor Rick Perry in fact didn't secede Texas from the US last week. It turns out his tea party talk about secession was just that...talk. Meant to drum up false outrage against President Obama and the awesomeness known as the US of A.

Texas Requests Foreign Aid
Today Texas Republic President Richard "Rick" Perry requested foreign aide from US President Barack Obama to deal with the potential swine flu pandemic.
Perry makes this requests just 1 week after seceding from the United States on the grounds that the federal govt intervened to much in the affairs of a sovereign Texas.
